I just wrapped up the latest episode of The Friday Society podcast, and I can’t say enough about how amazing these two women are. Delana Bristow and Lexi Sidle are the incredible founders of WealthKind. WealthKind coaches women to rewrite their money story, spend in alignment with their longterm goals, and invest to build the life of their dreams. They have created a space where women can talk about money in a way that feels approachable, real, and inspiring.
And better yet, they are joining me inside The Friday Society Membership in February!
This episode is all about money mindset and finding your rich. These two are incredible because they have a holistic perspective of money which is so refreshing. They teach us to focus on mindset first, not numbers. Personally, that approach feels so different than the typical masculine conversation around finances.
This is a perfect episode to listen to especially at the start of a year when everyone’s thinking about money goals for 2026.
What is Holistic Financial Coaching & Money Mindset?
We immediately dove into why we think about money the way we do and how our beliefs can shape our financial reality. Delana and Lexi really drive home the point that your relationship with money isn’t just about the figure inside your bank account but it’s emotional, personal, and tied to your sense of self-worth.
One thing that really resonated with me is how often women feel pressure or confusion around finances. A lot of traditional advice can be intimidating or even exclude women from the conversation. Delana and Lexi talk about building confidence first. Their approach is to understand your money story, acknowledge where you are, and gently shift your mindset. I love that they frame money as something we can reclaim, not something that rules us.
The Psychology of Money
We also get into the psychology of money like where did your money story begin. Little phrases we grew up hearing, like “money doesn’t grow on trees,” can really shape how we think about spending and saving well into adulthood. I loved hearing Delana and Lexi break this down in a way that’s compassionate and relatable. It’s not about feeling bad for where you are now; it’s about understanding yourself so you can make better choices moving forward.
We also dug into the practical side but in a way that still feels good. They discussed actionable steps about how you can start finding financial freedom today. They talked about starting with financial safety first by building emergency funds, creating systems that work for you, and then layering in investments when you’re ready.
But they also stressed the importance of addressing emotional blocks. As someone who is a firm believer in mindset, if your mindset is off, even the best system can fail.
Values-Aligned Spending
Another highlight of the episode was talking about values-aligned spending. We discussed how money isn’t just numbers; it’s about creating a life that reflects who you are. Spending intentionally on things that bring joy and value to your life can be just as important as investing for the future.
Ensuring that you are taking a step back to make sure you are spending your money in areas of your life that light you up is so important. Ultimately, it’s not just about building wealth for the sake of it; it’s about creating a life that feels rich in every sense.
This money mindset podcast episode with WealthKind gives you practical advice mixed with emotional insight. This is definitely the type of money conversations that I gravitate towards and I know you will love it too!
