Hey Beauties! I was so excited to have Daniel Kosmala on the podcast because Daniel is the Senior Marketing and Customer Growth Manager of uScreen, a Membership Platform. uScreen is a digital membership platform where small businesses or entrepreneurs can host their digital memberships.
I use uSceen to host The Friday Society Membership and I absolutely LOVE it. Having used several other platforms in the past and have found uScreen to the best!

Creating a Community that Sticks
Building a membership is half of the battle. Yes, you can get sign-ups and recurring revenue but what matters most is holding on to people and building community. The experience someone gets after they signup for your membership is where YOU need to invest your efforts.
So let’s breakdown the process of building a community with low churn.
Onboarding Members in a Digital Membership
It’s imperative that you have an easy process for getting interested customers in your platform as seamlessly as possible. Make sure that their path to signing up and clicking the ‘Buy’ button is easy! I always say the less clicks the better. Make sure that the path is engaging and clear about how to sign up and what they will receive once they register.
Once they are inside the platform, give personalized tools for how to navigate your platform. In TFSM, I have a welcome video guiding my members on where they can find actions such as the calendar for upcoming webinars, webinar replays, and how to find TFSM resources. This automatically sets the tone of your membership!
Building Community within a Digital Membership
One of my favorite tools of uScreen is their community feature. uScreen has a lot of functionality that I absolutely love (calendars, navigation bars, multiple discussion boards) but my favorite is their community feature.
I am constantly given feedback on how engaging and active TFSM community is. Literally on a daily basis a member is submitting a question in our private channel to ask about pricing, equipment, what music platforms are the best, etc. Anything and everything goes! Once they submit their question, other community members are quickly replying back and engaging with their post.
It’s one thing to have a bunch of members but how do you get them to engage is what makes your membership sticky. Make sure you are posting prompts yourself and checking in! Making sure your community is interactive will benefit everyone.
Membership Pricing
Creating a pricing structure that works for your business may take some trial and error. Memberships aren’t just plug and play. They require a lot of work! When it comes to pricing you have to consider the value you are bringing to the table.
TFSM has 3 monthly live calls. One webinar focusing on specific marking topics and two additional live office hours where we workshop and answer member questions. On top of that, I host a bookclub, have a social media add-on, and guest speakers. There is a ton of content and value included in the marketing membership.
I found having two pricing structures works the best. The first is the lowest cost membership with access to all marketing education. In addition, you can add-on to the second tier where you receive monthly social media prompts. It’s pretty simple.
Daniel talks about pricing for a monthly digital membership should be simple. If there are too many levels and too many promises then this leads to confusion which leads to cancellation. Keep it simple with 2 or 3 max membership levels.
