Elizabeth McCray . Marketing Expert

Full circle moments really are special, aren’t they? Here are a few such as my podcast interview with Elizabeth McCravy on the Brakethrough Brand Podcast, my first ever women’s panel, and more!

I want to share two that have been going on in my world –

Number 1

My October panel & retreat has been saved!!

This one was a roller coaster of emotions! Three years ago, when my business was in its infancy and The Friday Society Podcast wasn’t even an idea yet, I had the idea of hosting a panel of badass female founders. It would be all about hearing their stories and connecting with other ambitious women in my area. Women who love learning about entrepreneurship, personal development, and wellness in general.

A few months ago, it all fell into place… really, really easily.

The Wing was generously hosting me, and 100 of you, free of charge. All (truly amazing) speakers were confirmed. Website was built. We were ready to go!

And then…

The Wing

super fun.

But if you guys know anything about me, it’s that I believe if a door closes for you, it was not your door to begin with, and another one will open. And that’s exactly what happened.

Now, if you’re still with me… this email is about full circle moments, right?

Let’s back up a little bit, back to November of 2015.

I was on the opening team for lululemon Flatiron, NYC’s first flagship store for the retail chain. Part of the concept for this location was to create a non-retail space, called Hub Seventeen. Over the next few years, we hosted a secret concert series, intentional dinner parties, panels and speaker series lead by Gabby Bernstein, Ariana Huffington, Christy Turlington… the list goes on.

The space has truly transformed into something magical, and it was always one of my biggest career accomplishments, having been able to be a part of the inception and execution of such a space.

Fast Forward

On October 21st, 2022, Hub Seventeen will be the home to my first ever live event!!

We have four phenomenal speakers lined up, all ready to share their stories of building their wellness brands. Gift bags are being assembled, food is being tasted, and wine & NA sponsors are lined up. I am so excited – and something about hosting the event at lululemon truly just feels like coming home.

More details to come, but for now, drop your email here to be notified of ticket & speaker announcements. I am so excited to see you all in person, connect face to face, and be inspired by some of our favorite founders.

Number 2

The podcast that inspired me to start a podcast interviewed me, and the episode is live TODAY!!

I’m so beyond excited to share a special podcast episode with you today – not a Friday Society episode, but an episode I did on the Breakthrough Brand Podcast by Elizabeth McCravy.

Y’all have heard me rave about Elizabeth McCravy before! Her website templates (and generally just moving to ShowIt from Squarespace) were an absolute game changer for me. It opened up so much creative potential that I didn’t know I was keeping tucked away.

In addition to her website templates, her podcast was so incredibly helpful and provided tons of transformational tips for my business, particularly within the first year of forming my LLC. I’d love if you guys listened to the episode, and I absolutely recommend checking out the rest of her show. Her delivery of business advice is so relatable and actionable – I know you guys will love it.

Re: ShowIt…

I’ve gotten a few questions about hosting a website on Showit lately, so want to address those!

Honestly, moving my website to Showit from Squarespace was an absolute GAMECHANGER for me. I’m someone who really thrives when barriers are removed, and Squarespace felt like a barrier. I was super limited with the creative options, and I really feel like it was stifling me in creating products I felt lead to create. Such as opt-ins, resources for you all, etc.

Showit is more of a drag and drop website builder, and functions pretty similarly to Canva, which I loved.
