ASK ME ANYTHING

Hey Everyone! In this podcast episode, The Best Tech & Marketing Systems for Small Businesses in 2024, I am covering my #1 most asked question. “Alexa, what is the best software for my health and wellness business.” Today, I’m breaking down my favorite and best software recommendations for 2024!

In today’s (incredibly) fast paced society, small businesses must leverage the latest technology to stay competitive. From booking software to website design and social media management, the right tools can make all the difference. I’m going to give you a behind the curtain look at what software systems I personally use and recommend to The Friday Society Members.

July’s Total Tech Refresh: Mastering Technology with Expert Guidance

If you aren’t familiar with TFSM, this is my monthly membership where we go deep into a monthly marketing topic. This month (July) we spent the entire month discussing a total tech refresh. We literally opened up our systems and revamped all of it!

We are in the midst of our working office hours where we workshop questions and I wanted to bring some of the questions to The Friday Society Podcast.

Booking Software: Acuity

Booking software is essentially someone just clicking and saying ‘yes, I want to attend this class.’ There are a ton of booking software systems for health and wellness businesses. If you are a 1:1 provider, like I am, there is Acuity and Calendaly.

Personally, I use Acuity. While there is a learning curve, the capabilities are much better than competitors. The client follow-up emails and Zapier integrations are fantastic.

If you are a group fitness studio then you might be using MarianaTek, MindBody, & Momence. My two favorites are MarianaTek and Momence. In the episode, I break down why I like these including their customer service.

Email Marketing: FloDesk

FloDesk is my hands down favorite email provider. The emails are gorgeous, automations, workflows, opt-in forms, landing pages, segments, etc. It’s just a fantastic provider. Also, the price is amazing. If you use code FRIDAYSOCIETY you will get it for $19 a month for your first year!

A lot of my clients use FloDesk but not everyone. Since I know the inner workings of multiple email providers, I can still say FloDesk is by far the best.

Domain Hosting + Website: Squarespace & Showit

The most popular I’ve seen is Squarespace for designing your website. Recently, Squarespace purchased Google Domains so you can now purchase all of your domains from Squarespace! Personally, I use Squarespace as my connector for my email but I use Showit as my website host.

Showit is by far the easiest provider to host a website. If you know how to use Canva then you are going to know exactly how it use Showit. It’s customizable, beginner friendly, and ascetically beautiful. You can also purchase templates and easily upload them into Showit.

Personally my 3 favorite template designers are Elizabeth McCravy (my website template), Tonic Siteshop (15% off with code FridaySociety), and Christie Evenson. Check out these to decide what you love best!

Payment Capture: Stripe

There are a few different providers depending on what your business model is but I personally love Stripe. This is how I capture payment for all of my products and membership. Some of my clients use Square, which is fine, but I do recommend to get off of Venmo and PayPal.

Then I use Zapier to segment users into FloDesk and to integrate them into my app. Here is the Zapier training video for TFSM members! I also can’t say enough good things about Zapier. Listen to the full episode about why but seriously, Zapier is my assistant.

Automations for Instagram: ManyChat

We are seeing Instagram starting to reduce our reach when we link out on stories so people are now using automations for DMs such as ManyChat. I personally love it because it helps take the load off of responding individually but still feels personal. I will say there are a few quirks when it comes to ManyChat such as it being so sensitive to keywords but it does make lead management easier.

Questions? Shoot me a DM!
